So I’m flattening a slab and am about 80 % through it. It just stops and give me and
907 x axis travel exceeded line 78
After researching it, this is what I found on line NNNNN.
Cause: Software travel limit would be exceeded by the requested move.
Effect: Job canceled.
Removed: Start of new job
The spindle is over a foot from the True X axis limit.
Has anyone experienced this? If so, how do you fix it?
The software is looking ahead and would go to x -.250 but it would be outside your machine’s limits, so it stops. How far left can you jog the x-axis? Make sure your program doesn’t go past that area. There are various ways to do this, depending on what you use (Fusion / VCarve, etc)
It’s look ahead. Yes, your DRO is showing it at 18" from the edge at that moment. When you jog all the way to your X minus limit what does the DRO show? You’d need to know that first.
