ATC Tool Rack Build

Hi all! The next step in my Avid CNC build is the ATC Tool Rack. I made mine out of wood. It has been working pretty well so far. Here’s a video about my thoughts on where to place the tool rack, along with some other experimentations in 3d printing fork holders and how the dust shoe will come into play with a tool change. In the next video I’ll cover my custom mach 4 screen and software for doing m6 tool changes.

Just happened to walk back into the study to check on the last build for the evening that the machine is chewing on (workin’ for the man) and saw this post. Awesome job Corbin! I think you’ve discovered your new calling. You are great at this! Clear, concise and easy to understand!

Thank Kenneth! I’m hoping it does help some people setting up their machine.

Some screen shots of the 3d-printable tool station / tool fork holders that I discussed in the video. I uploaded the Fusion360 and STL to my site in case you want to experiment with this concept.
