Can I use a diode laser instead of torch with the plasma kit?

Hey there! I just purchased a new-in-boxes/unassembled PRO4896 with 4x4’ plasma kit on marketplace! It’s rev 20.2 and build is in-progress!

The thing is, I don’t need the plasma cutting capability but I wouldn’t mind mounting the diode laser module from my old DIY bench top laser cutter on this machine.

I’m wondering if I can use the cables/electronics from the plasma kit but install my laser module instead of a torch? I have 3D printers and the means to adapt the diode laser to the torch mount, just wondering if anyone knows if this would be a worthy adaptation or if i should just sell the plasma table and kit?

You don’t need any of the plasma stuff to use a laser. We offer a laser kit that works on a router. If you already have a laser you can adapt one to our system. There’s already a built in laser PWM for you to use.
