Character spacing

I am trying to space numbers for a project and they need to be an exact distance on center from each other no matter the size of the font or number . Example: say I want to make a series of 15 numbers exactly 2.3 inches apart on center. I have not been able to find a tool in Aspire 11.503 that will enable me to do this without manually spacing each character.

There is an array copy command in Vectric so you could copy one number, or a dot, or something, 15 times with the spacing you want, and then replace those with the numbers. Doing an array copy of numbers where the software increments the numbers is likely not possible without some sort of special script.

Vectric’s text tool does allow you to change the spacing between letters - left click makes them closer and shift-left click farther apart - but you would have to manually do each spacing.

Adobe Illustrator will let you adjust the kerning between two characters, but that is the space between, not the distance from center to center.

Not an answer, I know, but I hope this helps some.

Can it be a monospaced font, or are you wanting to do that for any font?

I would suggest Inkscape or illustrator, and export as an svg from there. I don’t know Aspire, but illustrator has lots of control over fonts and spacing and center points.
