Hello. I just recently setup my 4896 CNC and have done about 10 projects so far. I initially had my LAN cable plugged directly into my laptop along with the USB-Receiver for the pendant antenna. Everything worked fine. I just purchased a DELL WD19TBS Thunderbolt docking station so that I could leave the LAN and USB plugged in there. However, the docking station does not connect to the LAN. There is a red light at the LAN plug and the software can talk to the CNC. When plugged in to my laptop, the LAN port is green and communication is good. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks for your help.
If you want to use another LAN port you will need to configure it, likely manually. You could try to run the PC tuner again and see if it will pick up the new LAN port…
However, it’s probably not a great idea to use a dock like that. If what you have works I’d just stick with that.
