The boxes came in really good shape form across the country. I’m taking a few minutes to enjoy the view before I dive in ![]()
NICE!! Keep it up!
It will be so satisfying when you get it complete and run your first sequences of tool changes. It’s like a well choreographed dance.
I did the same thing, but I went ahead and trammed the spindle before I noticed. I was able to get the screws in but I needed to cut down a 5mm allen wrench to get in and tighten them.
That’s a good idea I think I’m going to do that need a 6 mm too for the tram plate upper right hand corner.
Avid provided a shortened 6mm with the AV40S just for the tramming plate bolt. I didn’t notice it until after I cut one down. Might save you a 6mm if you can find it.
Today I ran cable and airline to the spindle through all the cable track. I don’t have photos but they’re getting full I wonder if they have a 5-in track for the y?
The track gets full no doubt. But it will all fit. You may just need to massage them a little to get them to lay right.
I have all the standard cables as well as the AV40S air supply hose, laser cable and hose, extra cable for the KP1 probe, and a couple of spare 6mm air lines for mister air and fluid. Tight fit, but it works.
I’ll check that out I didn’t see one every time I turn around I see a roll hose an cables ![]()
