So, I’m using the new EX controllers, and the AV40S spindle. When I was assembling things I noticed the nice attention to detail of leaving some holes in the bottom of the Z axis assembly so you can poke the grease gun up there and top off the linear bearings.
I liked the concept, and now I’m struggling a bit to actually execute on this maintenance chore. I push the gantry to the back of my spoilboard, and I lower the Z axis. I’m sure the linear blocks are in there, but there just isn’t any visibility.
Are folks just trying to do this by “feel” ? Is there a technique I haven’t thought of ?
Any tips would be appreciated !

I’m not sure of the holes you speak of can you take a photo?
So these photos are not great, but if you undue the screws at the very bottom of the Z axis assembly - freeing up the lexan (??) flexible cover that hides the ball screw - you will see two holes. Up inside the assembly are the red linear bearing blocks that we have everywhere else (x and y axis travel). I had assumed they were for adding grease - but I can’t see anything, nor barely contort my body to try and get the grease gun in a good position for this. So wondering what others might have done.

Oh I see they were covered up! There is actually four of those blocks in there you would have to take your motor off the top to get to the top two holes and blocks. I never did that so sorry I can’t help.
