My 1st VCarve project!

Even with a few pitfalls of getting this 1st test piece done, I was able to finish this today!

I decided to use an old Oak cabinet door. The area of the carving is 14” x 14”. The textured area gave an estimate time of 38:40 and the actual time was about 2 minutes under. Not bad.

I’m very happy with the results!

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone.

I’m just a beginner with doing CNC but my engineering background will come in handy.

More importantly, I’m extremely happy for choosing AVID for my CNC machine. I’m going to enjoy using this for many years.

Glad to be part of the AVID family of creators!

Blessings!

I have an engineering background too, and yes it does help.
I actually programmed robots and CNC’s for many years and took up the wood side in just the last few years, Started when I got bored during covid and I did miss the daily factory work.

Here is a proof I ran yesterday on some old wood just laying around to proof out a design to get approval.
