Just wanted to show the group what happens to a bit when it hits a metal insert in your spoilboard at 19,500 rpm running about 550ipm. New bit that had about 3 minutes on it. Luckily it wasn’t one of my expensive Amanda bits.
Another one bites the dust! It won’t be your last, unfortunately. I smoked a $120 bit by running it into a steel bolt for one of my hold downs. Lesson learned.

It crashed pretty hard I’m now wondering if I should check my tram again with my tram dials
I would check the tram if this happened on my machine. That has happened to me a time or two, and usually the tram was off afterwards.
For good measure I’m going to check it tomorrow before I run the machine again
